Scott Teague, a former Marine from Mountain City, TN is walking 440 miles to speak with congress about a bill that would allow courthouses and schools the right to display the Ten Commandments. Scott began his journey Sunday morning and plans to arrive in Washington D.C. on March 2. He was called by God about six weeks ago to make the walk to our nation's capitol, Scott said "when God calls you've got to answer the call". Yesterday, I spoke with him and he was almost in Wytheville, VA. If you'd like to keep up with Scott's awareness walk for the Ten Commandments visit his website http://www.tencommandmentswalk.com/home.html
The ten commandments have been removed from the court house.
ReplyDeleteThe position that Mr. Teague is supporting is contrary to the United States Constitution's Bill of Rights. At issue is the separation of church and state.
Our government, that derives it power from the people, has allowed a democratic and pluralistic society with many freedoms.
What justification is there for that government to advocate the statement -Thou shall have no other Gods before me-? That statement is blatantly unconstitutional.
Please note that Mr. Teague plans to run for mayor.
